Remembrance Day
Congratulations to the Staff and Students of John XXIII Catholic School for their support in the Remembrance Day gathering at the Cenotaph. 120 students came out to remember our fallen Commrades.

General Meetings

General Meetings are usually held the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.

There will not be a meeting the month of December. Please come out to support your Branch in the New Year. Your decision is important in the running and the success of the Branch.

Veterans Dinner
 The date for the Annual Veterans/ Honours and Awards Dinner is November 9th. 2008. Coctails at 5:30 will be in the Clubroom followed by dinner in the Banquet Hall. Invited guests only . This year the guest speaker is Col. (retired) George Lackonic.

Fall 2008
The Youth Education Program for Sept/November is in another season., letters and information packages have been delivered to the schools in our Branch area. If anyone is interested in judging the Posters,  Poems or Essays please leave your name and phone number at the office. Thank you.

Poster and Public Speaking
This year's Poster & Literary Contest was a big success with 182 students entering.
Public Speaking was held mid- December and was also a sucess with 31 speakers. The Judges had a difficult time is chosing the winners, they all had so much talent.
First place winners will go on the District Level, we wish them all Good luck.
I would like to thank all the volunteers who gave time in judging, scorekeeping, registration etc. and for the many hours in delivering and retrieving Educational Packages to the 27 schools in our area.
Congratulations to all the students that participated in these programs.

New Year

Banquet Facilities
We have a 200 seat capacity banquet hall to rent for weddings or your special event. You are free to decorate to your individual taste or colour scheme. For a smaller or more intimate venue we have a fully equiped hall that seats 100. A varied menu is available for all occasions. For more details call 389-6605. Bookings and deposits are required 30 days in advance please.
